Keen to learn what Karawatha Forest offers? A pristine state forest nestled in middle of the three motorways neighbouring the Logan City Council. The program involves bushwalking tour and citizen science project involving the trees, species and culture. Partnering with Karawatha Forest Protection Society, experienced naturalists offer a workshop and tour. Saturday 8th February 2020 8.30am to 12pm Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre Meeting room Tickets include bushwalk tour, citizen science project materials and resources, and brunch. $20pp NDIS Plan please contact us. 1:1 or 1:2 supports available. Tickets include safety gear, equipment hire, insurance and catering.     Citizen science is scientific research conducted, in whole or in part, by amateur (or nonprofessional) scientists, sometimes described as "public participation in scientific research. This event project will focus on natural environments of Karawatha Forest involving tree barks, leaf shapes, soap tree, and many more. The workshop will conduct learning outcomes and experiment.
